Priest

In the name of the Father (+)

and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit.

All : Amen.

Priest:

When the goodness

and loving-kindness

of God our Saviour

appeared, He saved us,

not because of any works

of righteousness

that we had done.

All :

He saved us

according to His mercy,

through the water

of rebirth and renewal

by the Holy Spirit.

Priest:

Praised be God,

the Source and Origin

of all creation.

All:

May the Father,

Son and Holy Spirit

be praised,

both now and for ever.

Priest:

Lord God,

we are gathered here this day

to commemorate

the earthly birthday

of our departed brother/sister (N...)

May our gathering

be a reminder

of all the gifts and blessings

that he/she had received

from You during his/her lifetime

and for which

we give You

thanks and praise.

May our coming together

also be an occasion for us

to gather as family and friends,

bound by love

and mutual support.

Let Your presence

remain with us, Lord,

until the time

when we will be

reunited with (N...)

in the everlasting happiness

of Your kingdom,

where You live

forever and ever.

All : Amen.

WORD OF GOD

A reading from

the letter to Titus.

(Titus 2: 11, 13; 3:4-7)

The grace of God

has appeared,

bringing salvation to all,

while we wait

for the blessed hope

and the manifestation

of the glory

of our great God

and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

When the goodness

and loving-kindness

of God our Saviour appeared,

he saved us,

not because of

any works of righteousness

that we had done,

but according to his mercy,

through the water

of rebirth and renewal

by the Holy Spirit.

This Spirit he poured out

on us richly through

Jesus Christ our Saviour,

so that, having been

justified by his grace,

we might become heirs

according to the

hope of eternal life.

The word of the Lord.

All : Thanks be to God.
