INTRODUCTION

The Feast of All Souls is celebrated annually

on November 2nd, the day after the

Feast of All Saints, as a day to remember

family and friends who have died

and to pray for all souls In purgatory.

The Church believes the

prayers and actions

of those on earth will help

bring the souls of the faithful

to the beatific vision,

direct communication with God,

and full membership

in the communion of saints.

In turn, the faithful departed

pray for those still on earth.

GREETING

Leader:

The grace and peace

of God our Father,

who raised Jesus

from the dead,

be always with you.

All : And with your spirit

Leader:

Praised be God,

the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of mercies,

and the God of all consolation.

He comforts us in all our afflictions

and thus enables us

to comfort those

who are in trouble,

with the same consolation

we have received from him.

All :

Blessed be God,

the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

OPENING HYMN:

POWER OF YOUR LOVE
