Intercessory Prayer 2

Leader: 

Brothers and sisters, 

Jesus Christ is risen from the dead 

and sits at the right hand 

of the Father, 

where He intercedes 

for His Church. 

With confidence, 

let us place our petitions 

before God.

For our brother/sister (N...), 

that he/she may be raised up 

on the last day and 

welcomed into the joys of heaven. 

We pray to the Lord.

by the Body of Christ,

face to face.

For the family and friends 

of our brother/sister, 

that they may be consoled 

in their grief by the Lord, 

who wept at the death 

of His friend Lazarus. 

We pray to the Lord.

For all of us gathered here, 

that we may be reunited 

with our loved ones one day 

in the peace of Christ. 

We pray to the Lord.

All: Lord, hear our prayer.

God, our shelter and strength, 

hear the prayers we offer

Grant him/her eternal rest, 

and bring us comfort.
